2014 SRT Viper Time Attack announced
SRT has announced a new version of the 2014 Viper known as Time Attack (TA). It will be shown to the public in a few days at the 2013 New York Auto Show. The version seen in these official photos is wearing a Crusher Orange paint which will be limited to just 33 units, at a starting price of $120,500. Under the hood it has the same 8.4.-liter V10 engine pumping out 640 hp (477 kW) and 600 lb-ft (814 Nm) of torque. What has changed would have to be the suspension which has been further tuned and has received a two-mode Bilstein Damptronic system which was created mostly for track usage. The aluminum structural X-brace is now made from carbon
Other changes worth mentioning include the lighter alloy wheels wrapped around in Pirelli P Zero Corsa rubbers, beefier Brembo brake kit, new aerodynamic package with rear spoiler, front splitters and a rear applique. The car weighs 1,518 kg (3,348 lbs) and instead of logos on the exterior it has stickers for a reduced weight. Inside it has remained exactly the same, but it has contrasting orange stitching on the steering wheel, doors, shifter head and boot, console, pull brake, instrument panel, center stack and wheels.
