Hennessey Venom GT reaches 265.7 mph

A Hennessey Venom GT driven by Brian Smith was capable of reaching an impressive top speed of 265.7 mph (427.6 km/h) on February 9th on the runway located in California at Lemoore Naval Air Station.

Hennessey says this is the fastest production car in the world, even though the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport managed to achieve 268 mph (431.072 km/h) but was limited for the production model to 258 mph (415 km/h).

Another attempt is in the works by Hennessey as they will be trying to break the record once again.
