Bugatti launches Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Legend Jean-Pierre Wimille special edition
If we were to pick just once car which had too many special editions, it would definitely have to be the Bugatti Veyron. A new special model has been added to the lineup and it’s based on the Grand Sport Vitesse. Known as the Legend Jean-Pierre Wimille, it’s the first out of a series of six special editions part of the “Legend” lineup which will be based on the same model and built to celebrate the most important people in Bugatti’s glorious history. This first model will be limited to only three units, but pricing has not been revealed yet. Most likely, 99.9% of our readers won’t be able to afford it.
The car has received this name after Jean-Pierre Wimille who won the 1937 edition of the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans driving a Bugatti 57G Tank. Two years later, he won the same event once again but this time he was behind the wheel of a 57C Tank. This special edition wears a similar light blue paint scheme as a reference to the classic cars Wimille drove, while on the inside it has been fitted with a bunch of details which are related to the classic models of those days.
The Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse Legend Jean-Pierre Wimille special edition will make its public debut next month at the Monterey Auto Week in California, U.S.
