Alfa Romeo 4C upgraded by Pogea Racing to 314 hp
The Alfa Romeo 4C has received a comprehensive aftermarket package from the tuners at Pogea Racing. It’s called the CENTURION 1plus and comes with an evolution of the 1.75-liter 4-cylinder turbo gasoline engine that has been bumped from 237 hp (177 kW) and 258 lb-ft (350 Nm) to 314 hp (234 kW) and 336 lb-ft (455 Nm). Thanks to this significant power hike, the 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) journey no longer takes 4.1 seconds as the time has been reduced by 0.3s to 3.8 seconds. It’s the same story with the top speed that has increased from 160 mph (257 km/h) to 189 mph (305 km/h).
Pogea Racing has also fiddled with the TCT Twin Clutch transmission and now the gear changes are done 55% faster while on the outside there’s a carbon fiber kit. Among others it includes a rear wing that generates an additional 35 kg (75 lbs) of downforce when the car is doing 99 mph (160 km/h). Other goodies worth mentioning include the 18-inch front and 19-inch rear XCUT ultralight forged wheels with 225/40 ZR18 and 265/30 ZR19 Michelin tires.
Pogea Racing says they will make only 10 units and each will cost $87,100 (€79,950). The price includes the 4C donor car, assembly and paintwork.
