Alfa Romeo announces 4C’s 8:04 ‘Ring time
Alfa Romeo is proud to announce the 4C has managed to establish a lap time around the Nürburgring in 8 minutes and 4 seconds which means it’s the quickest car with an output of less than 250 HP to do a lap of the Nordschleife.
The performance was achieved by Horst von Saurma on September 12 with a 4C that came with a special version of the Pirelli AR P Zero Trofeo tires that will be available in two size combinations: 17-inch front & 18-inch rear and 18-inch front & 19-inch rear.
Alfa Romeo and Pirelli co-developed these tires in less than a year and they say that although being type-approved for road use they have also been developed to perform during track use. We remind you the Alfa Romeo 4C is motivated by a 1.75-liter four-cylinder engine developing 240 HP and a peak torque of 350 Nm. The car will do 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 4.5 seconds before topping out at 160 mph (258 km/h).
