Alfa Romeo fully details the highly anticipated 4C

Italian automaker Alfa Romeo has disclosed more information about the eagerly awaited 4C which is programmed to go on sale in Europe next month. Power is provided by a 4-cylinder, 1.75-liter turbocharged engine developing 240 HP and 350 Nm of torque sending power to the rear wheels through dual-clutch gearbox enabling the 1,973 lbs (895 kg) two-seater coupe to reach 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.5 seconds and a 160 mph (258 km/h) top speed. Alfa Romeo says the 4C is capable of returning 34.5 mpg US (41.5 mpg UK or 6.8 liters / 100 km) with 157 g/km of CO2 emissions.

The base Essential variant features a leather-covered steering wheel, digital instrument cluster and fabric seats. There’s also a dual exhaust arrangement and grey brake calipers, plus various choices of 17- and 18-inch alloy wheels. Opt for the more expensive Racing Pack and you also receive a race-tuned suspension, sportier exhaust and a sport steering wheel with microfiber and leather inserts. You also get 18- or 19-inch rims shod in AC Racing rubbers.


The Alfa Romeo 4C can also be configured with a Luxury Pack bringing bi-LED headlights featuring carbon fiber surrounds, while the cabin comes with leather and microfiber sports seats. For more money the vehicle can be fitted with several Mopar accessories such as 19-inch wheels, black/red/yellow brake calipers, chrome-plated or carbon fiber mirror caps, composite or carbon fiber rear spoiler and other goodies.
