Aston Martin prepares DB9 GT Bond Edition
Aston Martin is proud to announce the DB9 GT Bond Edition to celebrate the upcoming launch of the SPECTRE movie. The special 2+2 coupe will be built in a limited series of only 150 units and all of them are going to feature a Spectre Silver paint combined with sterling silver Aston Martin badges as well as subtle 007 Bond Edition badging on the outside. The cars will ride on 20-inch ten-spoke glossy black diamond turned wheels and will also have grey brake calipers, carbon fiber front splitter, bright hood vents and a carbon fiber rear diffuser. On the inside there are individually numbered sill plaques (with the 007 logo), along with gun barrel embroidery on the rear seat divider.
The Aston Martin DB9 GT Bond Edition is powered by the familiar V12 6.0-liter naturally aspirated engine developing 547 PS and 620 Nm of torque which makes it the most powerful DB9 ever made. All that power is channeled to the wheels through a 6-speed Touchtronic II rear mid-mounted gearbox benefiting from an electronic shift-by-wire control system. Thanks to this hardware arrangement, the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) will take just four and a half seconds before the car tops out at 183 mph (295 km/h).
It costs 165,000 GBP and all cars come bundled with a series of James Bond-themed accessories such as the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150m James Bond Limited Edition watch benefiting from a bespoke Aston Martin strap.
