Bentley unleashes 626 bhp Continental GT Speed
Bentley has just released a mildly revised variant of the Continental GT Speed which packs more punch. Its heart and soul is the familiar twin-turbo 6.0-liter W12 gasoline engine but it has been massaged to deliver no less than 626 bhp and a peak torque of 819 Nm. Up until now, the massive twelve-cylinder engine was good enough for 616 bhp and 800 Nm. Thanks to the slightly increased output, the coupe version is now capable of hitting a maximum speed of 206 mph whereas the convertible tops out at an impressive 203 mph.
The 2014 Bentley Continental GT Speed Coupe & Convertible also benefit from a stiffer suspension setup, a lowered chassis, as well as with a dark tint on the 21-inch alloy wheels, as well as on the headlights and taillights. Bentley has also used different paint trim on the side skirts, front splitter and rear diffuser, while inside there are now additional stitching and color options.
