Bentley working on 550 bhp Mulsanne?
Chances are that we will see a more powerful Bentley Mulsanne at the beginning of October during the 2014 Paris Motor Show. The company’s CEO Wolfgang Durheimer hinted that a beefier iteration of their flagship model is in the works and will probably end up being similar to the Continental GT3-R revealed a few weeks ago. It is believed the hotter Mulsanne will continue with the same V8 6.75-liter twin-turbo engine with the output likely to be increased from 505 bhp (377 kW) to an impressive 550 bhp (410 kW).
As a result of the additional power, expect the more potent Mulsanne to conquer the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run in less than five seconds since the regular model does it in 5.3 seconds before hitting a top speed of 184 mph (296 km/h). Aside from the additional oomph, chances are the Mulsanne will also lose some weight so expect it to weigh less than 2,585 kg.
