BMW 320d xDrive Touring 40 Years Edition announced
BMW has launched a limited-run 320d xDrive Touring 40 Years Edition available only in Japan and Italy. As the name suggests, the special edition serves as a celebration for 40 years of the 3-Series which originally came out with a two-door sedan body style powered by a gasoline engine sending power to the rear wheels while this new version is an all-wheel drive wagon motivated by a diesel engine. All the cars come with the M Sport package and ride on 19-inch alloy wheels backed by un uprated braking system. It’s wearing a Tanzanite blue metallic body and comes with the sportier M front and rear bumpers.
Stepping inside the cabin, the 2016 BMW 320d xDrive Touring 40 Years Edition has received piano black accents on the dashboard along with a sports steering wheel while under the hood resides a turbodiesel 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. It produces 190 PS sent to an xDrive all-wheel drive system with help from an eight-speed automatic transmission that comes equipped with paddle shifters installed on the steering wheel.
As a side note, earlier this month BMW managed to deliver the ten millionth 3-Series model during a special ceremony organized at BMW Welt in Munich.
