BMW has prepared the 3.0 CSL Hommage R concept in time for this year’s Pebble Beach show. It’s actually an evolution of the 3.0 CSL Hommage concept from earlier this year and now it has put on the familiar M livery and adopts a more race-spec specification, 21-inch lightweight wheels with matte gold & black accents, along with a Brilliant White body, M racing stripes and a slightly different front grille. It also benefits from carbon fiber seats to keep the weight down low and there’s also a white leather upholstery together with six-point safety harness. Carbon fiber was also used for the roll cage while the bespoke helmet comes with a special visor that also works as a head-up display.
The BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage R concept gets a plethora of race-spec equipment such as the emergency shut-off switch, fire extinguishing system, steering wheel-mounted display, bespoke racing suit with illuminated piping and plenty of other kit.
Just like with the previous concept, BMW doesn’t say what powers this vehicle but these two cars were built just for show which means none of them are function and most likely lack an engine under that curvy and wide vent with vents.
