Caterham has officially revealed the AeroSeven concept last weekend during the 2013 Singapore Formula 1 Grand Prix. The interesting concept gives us a clue about what to expect from the production variant which will be available sometime next year. The concept seen in these photos rides on an updated version of the company’s Seven CSR platform and comes with some technology derived from the firm’s Formula 1 team. Some relevant examples would have to be the launch control and adjustable traction control systems, as well as the engine management system.
At its heart is a Ford Duratec-derived naturally-aspirated motor churning 237 bhp which allows the AeroSeven concept to complete the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run in less than four seconds. The British marque has announced several power units are taken into consideration for next year’s production model.
