American aftermarket specialists from Hennessey Performance Engineering (HPE) have disclosed details about their power kits for the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray.
The entry-level HPE600 consists of a V8 6.2-liter engine fitted with a TVS2300 supercharger system, remapped ECU and a HPE air induction system which will help increase output of the mill to 600 bhp (447 kW).
Up next is the HPE700 kit that adds a custom camshaft and CNC ported cylinder heads, thus raising the engine’s horsepower figure to 700 bhp (552 kW).
There’s also the HPE800 with a twin-turbo engine packing aluminum pistons, custom camshaft and a forged steel crankshaft. This also comes with a stainless steel sports exhaust system, intercooler, high-flow cylinder heads, remapped ECU and a high-performance fuel system. All these goodies will bump output to 800 bhp (596 kW). If this isn’t enough, opt for the HPE1000 which lifts power to an impressive 1,000 bhp (745 kW).
Aside from these power kits, Hennessey is also providing carbon ceramic brakes, monoblock alloys shod in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, an adjustable suspension, together with a CarbonAero exterior package encompassing a rear spoiler, updated side skirts and a front splitter.
