Chevrolet introduces Camaro Z/28.R

Chevrolet has taken the wraps off the Camaro Z/28.R which will compete in the GS class of the IMSA Continental Tires SportsCar Challenge as part of the Stevenson Motorsports and CKS Autosport. It utilizes the same aerodynamic package as the road-legal car and has been equipped with the same V8 7.0-liter as well as the limited-slip differential. Chevrolet Racing Director Mark Kent has declared the vehicle is as close to production-spec as possible, aside from the bespoke suspension components created for endurance racing as well as the series-mandated equipment.

Lisa Talarico from Chevrolet said the all-new Camaro Z/28.R is a lot better than the GS.R which managed to triumph in several races from the Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge organized in the last three years.
