China-spec second-gen Chevrolet Cruze spied without camouflage
What we have here is a prototype of the second generation Chevrolet Cruze spied without any sort of camouflage. The vehicle was caught on camera in the firm’s factory parking lot located in Shanghai, China showing a significantly bolder and attractive design. The front fascia now hosts a much larger grille and LED horizontal strips of daytime running lights as well as a pair of blackened headlamps which kind of remind us of the recently facelifted Ford Focus or Renault Fluence. The interior has been taken upmarket and has a bigger touchscreen display, nice light brown upholstery and a bunch of chrome touches.
The Chinese version of the 2015 Chevrolet Cruze will be sold with a base 1.5-liter four-cylinder motor outputting 112 bhp and 146 Nm and a more powerful turbocharged 1.4-liter engine delivering 148 bhp and 235 Nm of torque. These engines will work together with five- and six-speed manual transmissions or a seven-speed DSG in the case of the turbocharged mill.
Chevrolet is expected to showcase the all-new Cruze at Auto China 2014 during the press day scheduled for April 20.
