Ferrari has taken the wraps off the F60 America, a limited edition model destined exclusively for United States. Only ten cars will ever be made and already all of them have been sold for the staggering price tag of $3.2 million. This is essentially an open top derivative of the F12 Berlinetta which comes bundled with a lightweight fabric top that can be used at speeds of up to 120 km/h (75 mph). The limited edition celebrates Ferrari’s 60th anniversary in United States and at the same time is a throwback to another US-only special edition, the 275 GTS-4 NART from 1967.
The Ferrari F60 America has received two roll hoops covered in leather and featuring flying buttresses trimmed in carbon fiber. The exterior body has also gone through some serious changes compared to the F12 Berlinetta while the interior adopts a red and black theme to create a somewhat flashy look for this special prancing horse.
In the engine department we find the same naturally aspirated V12 6262cc engine outputting no less than 740 HP and 690 Nm send to the rear axle with help from a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Just like the stock car, the F60 America needs only 3.1 seconds to run the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint.
