Fiat Aegea breaks cover at Istanbul Motor Show
The Fiat Aegea is finally here and it’s set to replace the Linea once production kicks off at the Bursa factory in Turkey. Looking far more refined than its predecessor, the new compact sedan is 4.5m long, 1.78m wide and 1.48m tall, with a 2.64m wheelbase and a 510-liter trunk capacity while the interior cabin is roomy enough to hold five adults. Speaking of the interior, this is where you will find a Uconnect infotainment system on the upper-spec versions which get a 5-inch touchscreen display. This system has support for handsfree Bluetooth, TomTom sat-nav, USB / AUX / iPod connectivity and a rearview camera.
The 2015 Fiat Aegea is going to be offered with a choice of 2 gasoline and 2 diesel engines that range in output from the base 95 hp to the range-topping 120 hp. The most frugal version of the bunch will consume less than 4 liters / 100 km and according to Fiat the engines will be teamed up with manual and automatic transmissions.
Fiat says the Aegea will be commercialized in more than 40 countries and will kick off sales this November, initially in Turkey.
