Fiat expands 500 Abarth with two additional models

Fiat has decided to expand its 500 Abarth range in the UK by introducing two new models that are better-equipped and with more power in comparison to the standard Abarth 500 that from now on will be considered as the entry-level model in this lineup. Speaking of the standard model, Fiat has decided to offer a a healthy 500 pounds price cut for the United Kingdom market. These two new hotter versions are known as the Fiat Abarth 595 Turismo and the 595 Competizione, and are as you would expect more expensive than the regular model. Under the hood of these two new vehicles is the same 1.4-liter T-Jet engine that provides the same power output as seen in the 500 Esseesse which is no longer available.

The Italian carmaker believes that those who up until now decided to buy the Essesse will now opt for one of the two new models in the lineup taking into consideration that the price tag is just about the same while the level of equipment offered has increased.

Fiat 595 Abarth Turismo

All three versions of the car are offered with a choice of a manual gearbox or a robotized-manual transmission. In addition, both the 500 and the hotter 595 versions can be ordered in a hatchback or a convertible (500C) body style.

Fiat 595 Abarth Competizione

As far as pricing is concerned, the Fiat 595 Abarth Turismo starts from 17,775 pounds and is offered as standard with goodies such as climate control, uprated dampers and a leather trim. For more money you could order the Fiat 595 Abarth Competizione that is priced at 18,795 pounds, featuring a sports exhaust system and Sabelt seats. These price tags are for the versions fitted with the manual gearbox, while the ones with the aforementioned manual-robotized gearbox cost an extra 1,300 pounds.
