The 2015 Fiat 500X is the star of the attached teaser video, indirectly announcing the imminent unveiling of the baby crossover which will share the same platform with the Jeep Renegade. The vehicle will likely be unveiled online in the days to come prior to a public debut likely programmed for early October at the Paris Motor Show. Looking a lot like the regular 500, the crossover will come with a slightly more rugged appearance enhanced by the plastic body cladding, larger alloy wheels, raised suspension and other minor visual tweaks meant to make the 500X look more masculine.
Since it will essentially be Fiat’s version of the Fiat Renegade, expect just about the same engine lineup so there should be several MultiJet II and MultiAir motors. A 4×4 system will also be available on the more expensive versions while gearbox choices will likely encompass a nine-speed auto, dual-clutch DDCT and a couple of manuals.
