Ford Focus Sport unveiled at Essen
The Ford Focus Sport has made its official debut at the Essen Motor Show in Germany where it will be locally available. It was developed to slot right underneath the Focus ST and is a follow-up to the Fiesta Red and Black editions that came out a while back. Customers will be able to order the car with either a Panther Black or Race Red exterior paint scheme and depending on choice the vehicle will have a red or black contrasting roof, side mirror caps, radiator grille bar and diffuser. Regardless of paint choice, the cars will ride on a black set of 18-inch alloy wheels.
There’s not much going on inside the cabin, but we should mention the two-tone black & red look of the steering wheel, handbrake lever, gear lever, along with an aluminum pedal set and sports seats.
Under the hood resides a 4-cylinder, 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with 150 PS (110 kW) or 182 PS (134 kW), but you can also opt for the more economical 1.5-liter turbodiesel that pumps out 150 PS (110 kW).
Pricing for the Ford Focus Sport begins at €24,960 for the gasoline engine rated at 150 PS. The Blue Oval company is already taking orders in Germany.
