GMC launches 2016 Sierra Elevation Edition
GMC is introducing in United States the 2016 Sierra Elevation Edition. It’s based on the double cab body style but adopts a monotone look with body-colored door handles, mirrors and bumpers while the 20-inch alloy wheels and recovery hooks have a black finish. It also comes with remote locking tailgate and features some interior cabin tweaks such as the 6-speaker sound system and an IntelliLink infotainment system boasting a 7-inch touchscreen display with support for Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Wi-Fi hotspot. Moreover, the vehicle also comes as standard with a 110-volt AC power outlet so you will be able to recharge various devices.
In terms of power, GMC will sell the 2016 Sierra Elevation Edition with a V6 4.3-liter EcoTec3 engine producing 285 bhp and 305 lb-ft of torque. If you need more oomph, there’s a larger V8 5.3-liter EcoTec3 that has 355 bhp and a maximum torque of 383 lb-ft. These two engines can be connected to either a 2WD or a 4WD system and in all cases there’s a standard Eaton locking rear differential.
GMC has announced the 2016 Sierra Elevation Edition will effectively go on sale in the first quarter of next year and details regarding pricing will be disclosed closer to the model’s arrival on the market.
