Honda shows off the Civic Tourer
Approximately a month and a half ago, Japanese automaker Honda unveiled the Civic Tourer and now at the Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany they provided a more detailed description through the car’s chief engineer Adrian Killham. Without any doubt, the biggest selling point of the car will be its cargo capacity which is the biggest in its class. It provides enough room for a whopping 624 liters of luggage, thus taking down the third-gen Skoda Octavia Combi which up until recently was in the lead with a cargo space of 610 liters. The Honda Civic Tourer can hold as much as 1,668 liters once the rear seats are folded down.
Honda mentions the car was developed entirely on the old continent for European customers and that it will come with so-called “magic seats” which can be folded by a simple motion. Power comes from the familiar 1.6-liter i-DTEC mill producing 120 HP and 300 Nm of torque, along with a 1.8-liter i-VTEC churning 142 HP and 174 Nm.
