K.MAN has prepared an aftermarket package for the outgoing V10-powered Audi R8. The program kicks off with a stage one power boost called “GTK” lifting output of the 5.2-liter V10 engine to 590 PS (434 kW). If this isn’t enough, there’s a mid-range “GTK S” package which will lift power to 640 PS (471 kW) while the range-topping “GTK RS” kit delivers an impressive 750 PS (552 kW). The standard ten-cylinder engine is naturally aspirated but to obtain these power gains K.MAN installed a Garret twin-turbocharging system and they also applied some weight saving measures, making the GTK 40 kg (80 lbs) less heavy than a series V10 R8.
The Audi R8 V10 with the GTK kit will need only 11.9 seconds to complete the 0-124 mph (0-200 km/h) run while the GTK S can do it in 11.4 seconds. As for the GTK RS, it will accomplish the task in 10.6 seconds. All of them feature a Bilstein clubsport chassis frame while the GTK RS also has an uprated braking system.
For more money clients can add a custom cross-x pipe exhaust system featuring valve control along with body parts made from fiberglass or carbon fiber.
