Lexus ES facelift unveiled in Shanghai

The 2016 Lexus ES facelift is currently on display in China at Auto Shanghai 2015 and will go on sale in the second half of the year. It has received a series of mild cosmetic tweaks such as the revised spindle grille, new headlights benefiting from LED projectors along with L-shaped daytime running lights also featuring LEDs. At the back it hosts lightly updated taillights with L-shape graphics and it has also gained chrome rectangular exhaust tips and a chrome license plate garnish. Lexus will be offering two new designs of 17-inch wheels, four fresh body hues and four seat colors.

In terms of power, the 2016 Lexus ES facelift will continue to be commercialized in United States with a hybridized 4-cylinder 2.5-liter and a V6 3.5-liter while China, Taiwan and Russia are getting a 4-cylinder D4 2.0-liter motor. In select markets, the luxury sedan will come equipped with an L4 2.5-liter engine.
Other novelties worth mentioning include a 4.2-inch multi-information display and a sports steering wheel while on the safety side we find radar cruise control, automatic high beam, lane departure alert, brake assist and a pre-collision system.
