Lexus intros 2013 LS range in the UK
The premium Japanese automaker Lexus has introduced the refreshed LS range in the United Kingdom where it will be available at a starting price of 71,995 pounds for the entry-level LS 460 Luxury variant. The LS 460 F SPORT is priced at 74,495 pounds, while the long wheelbase, full hybrid flagship LS 600h L Premier variant starts at 99,495 pounds. The conventional-powered versions come with a V8 4.6-liter gasoline engine that produces 382 hp (285 kW) and is linked to an eight-speed automatic transmission.The hybrid version makes use of a V8 5.0-liter unit that works together with a couple of electric motors, generating a combined output of 439 hp (327 kW).
Even if you opt for the base Luxury variant you still get an extensive list of amenities, including (but not limited to) automatic bi-xenon headlamps, 18-inch alloys, a 19-speaker Levinson sound system, LED daytime running lights and a 12.3-inch display. The F SPORT model is based on the Luxury model but rides on a fresh new set of 19-inch alloy wheels. It comes with Brembo brakes, suspension tweaks, a new bodykit, a Torsen limited slip differential, lateral damping system and a new interior styling kit.
The Premier edition comes with the world’s first “climate concierge” system that consists of several infrared sensors that can monitor the facial temperature of the passengers inside the car and based on that it can automatically adjust the AC and the electrically-operated seats.
