Lotus launches Evora Sports Racer
Lotus has prepared a special edition of its Evora model that goes by the name of Sports Racer. Customers can get it in one of the following four colors: Ardent Red, Aspen White, Nightfall Blue and Carbon Grey. All these paints come with contrasting gloss black roof, side sills, front apron, rear diffuser and mirror pods, along with black forged alloy wheels that have black or red brake calipers. Inside it adopts a 2+2 seating arrangement and attractive dashboard panels that have a gunmetal-like finish. In addition, this special Evora also gets “Premium Sports” leather seats finished in black with red stitching or red leather seats with black stitching.
The center console, doors and the dashboard get a nice “Slate Grey Suede” trim. It is important to mention that the Lotus Evora Sports Racer comes as standard with the Sports Pack that brings a sport mode which if activated it will increase the rev limit, sharpen the throttle response and also add a sportier setting for the DPM – Dynamic Performance Management stability control system. In addition, this sports pack also includes cross-drilled brake discs and a rear diffuser.
The British company has added a Tech Pack which has a new infotainment system with an uprated audio system, a seven-inch touchscreen display, a DVD player, USB/iPod support, power folding mirrors, cruise control, tire pressure monitoring system, reversing camera and rear parking sensors.
In the United Kingdom, the Lotus Evora Sports Racer begins from 57,900 GBP (71,000 EUR or 94,100 USD) for the normally-aspirated model with 280 HP. The hotter supercharged S variant with 350 HP will set you back at least 65,900 GBP (80,900 EUR or 107,100 USD).
