The Mercedes-AMG A45 PETRONAS 2015 World Champion Edition is making its online debut to celebrate the company’s Formula 1 constructors’ and drivers’ championships in F1 this year. The hot hatchback has received petrol green and black accents to mirror those on the F1 W06 Hybrid car while the body now features a larger front splitter, a different rear-mounted spoiler and redesigned flicks. The body’s main color can be mountain grey metallic, designo mountain grey magno or polar silver metallic while the 19-inch wheels only come in cross-spoke titanium with a petrol green rim flange.
The vehicle is generously equipped as standard with the AMG DYNAMIC Plus Package, AMG Exclusive Package, Night Package and leather/DINAMICA electrically adjustable AMG Performance seats. It also has the Performance steering wheel covered in DINAMICA microfiber featuring petrol green stitching applied on the armrests and dashboard.
Power is provided by a 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbo with 381 PS (280 kW) and 475 Nm (351 lb-ft) sent to a 4MATIC setup via a 7-speed dual clutch gearbox. This arrangement enables the hot hatchback to run the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in as little as 4.2 seconds.
The Mercedes-AMG A45 PETRONAS 2015 World Champion Edition will be available from January until May at a starting price of €65,402.40 or €66,818.50 for the designo mountain grey magno matt paint. It will be on display this weekend at the F1 2015 season finale during the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in Yas Marina.
