Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG fully revealed
The smallest AMG model Mercedes-Benz has ever launched is here. The A45 AMG will make its public debut next month at the Geneva Motor Show and will come together with its impressive yet small 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder turbocharged engine. The power unit develops no less than 360 HP (265 kW) and a peak torque of 450 Nm (332 lb-ft).
The hot hatchback will be capable of performing the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run in just 4.6 seconds, before the odometer of the car reaches the electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).
Power is transferred to all four wheels through an AMG seven-speed sports transmission featuring a double declutching function, three driving programs and also Race Start. Mercedes-Benz has also implemented a three-stage ESP and a three-link front suspension working together with a four-link rear axle setup.
Stopping the car is the AMG braking system with ventilated and perforated discs which measure 350x32mm at the front. The vehicle features 18-inch alloys wrapped around in 235/40 tires while for more money clients can choose the 19-inch rims with 235/35 tires. Also for more money the A45 AMG can be ordered with an aerodynamics package, carbon fiber exterior mirror housing, night package and an exclusive package.
