Mercedes-Benz launches C63 AMG Edition 507
There is a new more powerful version of the C63 AMG and is known as the “Edition 507”. Mercedes-Benz made the announcement today, saying the V8 6.3-liter naturally-aspirated engine has been retuned to put out no less than 507 HP (373 kW), which makes it 50 HP (37 kW) more powerful than the previous variant of the potent AMG engine. As a result of this power boost, the coupe and sedan versions are now able to hit 62 mph (100 km/h) in only 4.2 seconds, whereas the estate version is 0.1 seconds slower. Regardless of the body style, the 2014 C63 AMG will reach an electronically limited top speed of 280 km/h (174 mph).
Aside from the significant power hike, the car has an uprated braking system with 360x36mm front composite brake discs and six-piston calipers, while at the rear axle it gets four-piston calipers. All calipers have a striking red finish while the brake discs are perforated and ventilated.
We should also mention the 19-inch AMG wheels, aluminum bonnet with two openings, while the spoiler lip on the boot lid for the sedan and coupe, as well the radiator grill surrounds adopt a glossy black look. The headlamps have also been darkened to infuse a more aggressive look to the C63 AMG.
