The aftermarket specialists from Lowenstein have taken the wraps off their tuned Mercedes CLA 45 AMG. The four-door coupe from Daimler has received a SAPHIR wide body kit conversion that it’s made from carbon fiber to keep the weight down as much as possible. This has widened the car by 20 mm front & 40 mm rear and includes among others a vented hood, spoiler lip on the trunk along with a ventilated rear bumper. It now sits on CONCAVE matte gold 20-inch rims wrapped around in Michelin Pilot Super Sport 245/35 ZR20 front & 285/30 ZR20 rear tires.
Most of the tweaks have occurred underneath the hood where the four-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine was taken to 410 PS (301 kW) and 530 Nm (391 lb-ft) as a result of a plug & play software solution. If that’s not enough, Lowenstein has a stage 2 kit that includes sports air filters and a new downpipe with sports catalytic convertor. Once the upgrade is applied, the motor will develop 425 PS (312 kW) and 540 Nm (399 lb-ft) of torque.
The tuner hasn’t shared pics of the interior, but they do say there are new soft velour floor and trunk mats, along with carbon fiber accents on the center console, dashboard and steering wheel.
