Once the all-mighty supercar, the Mercedes-Benz SLR has been forgotten by many car enthusiasts. The car is back courtesy of CUT48 and Edo Competition. The first one has prepared a baby blue foil wrap which will set you back no less than 4,350 euros or $5,800. It might sound like a lot of money for us but for someone who actually owns an SLR, a few thousand dollars don’t mean anything which is why CUT48 is asking so much money for a full blue and black gloss wrapping that most likely doesn’t cost as much as they are asking. The modifications don’t end here as Edo Competition has also came up with some power upgrades for the Mercedes-Benz SLR.
The car still has its hand-built V8 AMG engine but it outputs more than the standard 626 HP (460 kW) as it now puts out an impressive 722 HP (531 kW). The torque figure has increased from the stock 780 Nm (580 lb-ft) to 890 Nm (656 lb-ft). They did this by doing some compressor tweaks, remapping the ECU, customizing the intake system and installing a custom exhaust manifold.
Thanks to these changes, the SLR sprints to 124 mph (200 km/h) in under ten seconds and can reach a top speed of 214 mph (345 km/h).
