MG6 BTCC revealed
The British company MG has revealed a special edition of the MG6 to celebrate the firm’s success in the 2012 BTCC. Behind the wheel of a special edition version of the MG6 hatchback was Jason Plato who managed to win six races and finish the championship third overall. This new variant of the MG6 has a starting price of 16,995 GBP and comes with 18-inch alloy wheels, a matte black roof and a black gloss finish for the rear spoiler, front/rear lower bumpers, door mirrors and side sills. There’s also a “BTCC” badge on the car’s front grille, as well as hood decals in team colors, while the door sills and dashboard get “BTCC Edition” graphics.
Standard goodies for this model include front sport seats, satellite navigation system, rear parking sensors and electric mirrors. Clients are able to get the MG6 BTCC with either a Union Blue color or an Arctic White hue. Motivation comes from a 1.8-liter turbocharged gasoline engine capable of providing 158 hp and enabling the vehicle to perform the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run in 8.4 seconds, en route to a top speed of 120 mph.
Those who place an order for the MG6 BTCC before the end of the year will also get two VIP hospitality tickets to a race from next year. This will include pit lane experience, a grid walk and an MG KM Momentum team jacket that comes together with a hat.
