What you see here is not just another regular Trabant as this particular 601 wagon version has received a powerful six-cylinder, 3.0-liter turbocharged engine which has made the vehicle fast enough to beat the mighty Nissan GT-R aka “Godzilla” in a quarter mile race.
The Trabant managed to complete the quarter mile in just 11.3 seconds, while the GT-R arrived half a second later to the disappointment of those who gathered to see the peculiar race.
