This is Nissan’s offering for the London taxi and is scheduled to enter production phase in December with an estimated starting price of approximately 30,000 pounds. It’s not the prettiest taxi out there but it should be noted the design was handled by the same team who was responsible for creating the looks of the Juke and Qashqai. The vehicle has been conceived to get a 1.6-liter, 4-cylinder gasoline power unit which will work with an automatic transmission. Thanks to this hardware setup, the NV200 London Taxi will return up to 40 mpg UK.
As you probably have noticed by now, the car doesn’t wear Nissan’s badge on the front grille as the creators wanted to create a look reminiscent of classic taxis of London, hence the front grille which looks as if it was taken from a classic black cab, along with the rounded headlights. It also comes with redesigned front bumper panels while the taxi sign benefits from LED lightning.
