Nissan unleashes Juke Nismo RS at 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show
Just when you though the Nissan Juke Nismo can’t get more powerful, the Japanese marque has introduced an even hotter “RS” version this week at the Los Angeles Auto Show. While the Juke Nismo will get you a more than decent output of 197 bhp and 184 lb-ft, the RS version manages to provide 215 bhp and 210 lb-ft of torque from the same DOHC 1.6-liter, 4-cylinder turbo gasoline engine. It should be noted these power figures are applicable for the variant featuring an uprated 6-speed manual transmission and a FWD setup. The Juke Nismo RS with Xtronic CVT and AWD has 211 bhp and 184 lb-ft.
These output improvements were possible by reworking the exhaust system and remapping the ECU. Aside from being more powerful, the Juke Nismo RS sits on unique 18-inch alloys with 255/45 R18 Continental ContiSportContact5 summer tires. It has a bespoke front fascia with a different front grille, while the conventional fog lights were ditched in favor of a thin strip of LED accent lights.
For the interior clients will have the possibility of configuring the car with a Navigation Package that has NissanConnect apps, USB, RearView Monitor, voice recognition, 3D maps and most importantly, a 5.8-inch screen.
