Nissan unveils GT-R 45th Anniversary Edition
This is the Nissan GT-R 45th Anniversary Edition which will be sold exclusively at home in Japan in a limited quantity of only 45 cars. It’s based on the recently unveiled JDM-spec 2015 GT-R and is programmed to go on sale at the beginning of February 2015 together with the regular model. What makes this model stand out is the special body paint called Silica Brass which represents a throwback to the iconic Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 M-Spec. All 45 units are going to be based on the Premium Edition trim and will come with a unique emblem on the inside.
Moreover, the Nissan GT-R 45th Anniversary Edition is going to feature a special plate installed in the engine bay. Nissan says they will sell the cars on a first-come, first-serve basis for those willing to pay the starting price of 10,787,040 yen (about $90,000 / €73,100 / £57,300). Since it’s based on the 2015 GT-R, it benefits from the recent upgrades such as tweaked Brembo breaks, modified flywheel housing bearings, improved sound deadening material and revised run-flat Dunlop tires. Nissan promises the 2015 GT-R will provide a smoother operation, lower vibrations and improved ride and stability, especially during cornering.
