Opel reveals Adam Rocks S with 150 PS
German marque Opel has unveiled the Adam Rocks S which will premiere next week at the 2015 International Amsterdam Motorshow. This higher specification of the little crossover packs a 150 PS punch from a four-cylinder, 1.4-liter turbocharged gasoline engine which is capable of generating a maximum torque of 220 Nm (162 lb-ft). It’s the same engine found inside the Adam S so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint takes the same 8.5 seconds before topping out at a maximum speed of 130 mph (210 km/h).
The 2015 Opel Adam Rocks S uses a six-speed short-ratio manual gearbox and has received a sports suspension which has lowered the ride height by 15mm. It also has beefier brakes, an electrically-operated canvas roof and the possibility of switching off the ESP. There are 11 paint schemes to choose from and five hues for the roof while inside the cabin there are Recaro sport seats and other minor tweaks compared to the regular Adam Rocks.
