Peugeot RCZ R Bimota officially introduced
Peugeot has teamed up with Italian motorcycle manufacturer Bimota to work on a one-off RCZ R Bimota which was unveiled in Italy during the Motor Bike Expo held in Verona. It’s codenamed PB 104 from Peugeot and Bimota while “1” means project number one and “04” indicating that it has four wheels. The vehicle wears a three-color Bimota racing livery and has received a set of five-spoke alloy wheels painted in black. On the inside it gets Alcantara leather on the seats while the dashboard is adorned with red accents. It also comes with a leather-covered box holding two motorcycle helmets and two GoPro cameras.
The Peugeot RCZ R Bimota is equipped with a four-cylinder, 1.6-liter turbocharged gasoline engine that has received a new blow-off valve for the turbo, along with a remapped ECU and a newly developed exhaust system. After these hardware tweaks were implemented, the engine now puts out an impressive 300 HP (224 kW).
The added power is matched by the uprated braking system consisting of 380mm four-piston front brakes. As a final touch, the suspension has been lowered by 10mm while the rear seats have been removed to shave off excess weight.
