Porsche seems to be testing its new four-cylinder turbocharged boxer engine which will eventually finds its way under the hood of the next generation Boxster and Cayman duo. However, the engine is apparently being tested in the larger 911 as a prototype which had a different soundtrack was spotted recently on the Nürburgring in Germany. Maybe this power unit will be installed in the next generation 911 which has already been confirmed to receive a hybrid derivative. Only time will tell what Porsche is working on.
