Porsche launches 360 bhp Macan GTS

Porsche is introducing the Macan GTS which will be slotted above the S, but below the range-topping Turbo. This newest iteration of Stuttgart’s high-performance crossover doesn’t look very different than the Macan S upon which is based, but it does have lightly revised bumpers and numerous glossy & matte black accents. It can also be visually distinguished by its standard RS Spyder Design 20-inch lightweight alloy wheels that come with a Satin Black appearance. On the inside it has a standard Porsche Communication Management system while the seats are covered in Alcantara and leather. Moreover, there’s an 8-speaker audio system (with USB & AUX connectivity) and several leather accents to spice up the cabin even further.

What really matter is the upgraded 3.0-liter V6 twin-turbo engine which now pushes out a massive 360 bhp and a peak torque of 369 lb-ft sent to both axles courtesy of a dual clutch 7-speed PDK gearbox. The 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) task takes just 4.8 seconds and top speed stands at 159 mph (255 km/h) if you go for the Sport Chrono Package that costs more money.

Speaking of which, the Porsche Macan GTS costs €73,400 in Germany and $67,200 in United States. It’s already available in its domestic market while U.S. will get it starting March 2016.
