Rumors within the automotive media are indicating Porsche is planning to unveil an off-road concept of the 911 at this year’s Beijing Motor Show and this actually might happen since the Stuttgart-based automaker has released a clip in which they present the rallying capabilities of the 953 which they consider as being the 911’s “alter ego.” We get the chance to see Jeff Zwart – who won Pikes Peak for seven times – driving the 953 which was developed for the 1984 Paris-Dakar rally. The car’s triumph served as basis for the 959 development and also paved the way for all-wheel drive 911s.
