Seat shows video proof of Leon Cupra 280’s Nurburgring FWD record

Spanish automaker Seat has released video footage with the Leon Cupra 280 that managed to take down the Nürburgring record for a front wheel drive car. Jordi Gene was behind the wheel of the hot hatch and finished the lap in 7 minutes and 58.4 seconds, a lot better than the previous record held by the Renault Megane RS Trophy with a time of 8 minutes and 7.97 seconds. The Leon Cupra 280 is motivated by a 4-cylinder, 2.0-liter turbo engine outputting 280 HP (206 kW) and 258 lb-ft (350 Nm) of torque. It will do the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run in 5.7 seconds.
