Czech marque Skoda has taken the wraps off the Octavia RS 230 special edition which comes with a minor power hike. Compared to the regular model, the four-cylinder 2.0-liter TSI turbocharged gasoline has gained an extra 10 HP so it now develops 230 HP (169 kW). The minor power bump has slashed 0.1s from the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint which now takes 6.7 seconds. Top speed has been increased from 154 mph (248 km/h) to 155 mph (250 km/h).
The Skoda Octavia RS 230 has been equipped with an electronically-controlled differential front axle lock and it’s the first time when a Skoda model gets this sort of equipment. This will ensure the quickest production Octavia ever with “dynamic cornering.”
Following its public debut set for next week at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, the model will go on sale in June.
