Skoda Octavia Scout revealed
Czech marque Skoda is proud to announce the Octavia Scout which will get its first public outing several weeks from now at the 84th edition of the Geneva Motor Show. As you would expect, the model is based on the Octavia Combi but comes with a more rugged-looking body as well as unique 17-inch alloy wheels. Other than that, the model has received black lower bumpers featuring silver inserts, black protective side mouldings and a wider front air intake. In addition, it benefits from an increased ground clearance (+33mm) and will feature restyled fog lights.
Skoda says they will offer the Octavia Scout with two diesel engines as well as a gasoline unit which will all work with a fifth-gen Haldex all-wheel drive system. For the cabin Skoda has prepared a redesigned multi-function steering wheel covered in leather.
The model will hit dealerships in the second half of 2014.
