Skoda teases Fabia Combi R5 concept
Skoda has dropped a couple of teaser images depicting the upcoming Fabia Combi R5 concept. It will be on display between May 13 and 16 at the 34th GTI Meeting at Wörthersee with a styling heavily influenced by the Fabia R5 rally car. It benefits from a beefier body, lowered sports suspension and a prominent fixed rear wing. Sitting on 18-inch wheels, the hot Fabia wagon adopts a tri-color livery and comes with a blackened front grille. The back of the concept shows a centrally-positioned exhaust system. Other changes include the flared mudguards, enlarged door sills and McPherson struts.
Under the hood of the Fabia Combi R5 concept resides a 1.6-liter four-cylinder turbo engine delivering its power to all four wheels with help from a five-speed sequential transmission.
Needless to say, Skoda isn’t planning to turn the concept into a production version as the Fabia Combi R5 is purely just for show.
