At the ongoing Auto Shanghai show, the 2016 Ford Taurus is making its debut in Chinese specification. Design-wise, it looks a lot like an enlarged version of the Mondeo/Fusion, but with the taillights inspired by the ones fitted onto the current US-spec Taurus. This is a full-size vehicle characterized by the Blue Oval company as being a “premium business sedan” with a massive 2.95 meter wheelbase and an overall length of five meters. The generous proportions allow the new Taurus (CN-spec) to offer “abundant” rear legroom and it comes with power-reclining rear seats, representing a first for a Ford sold in China.

These rear seats can be had at an additional cost with optional adjustable lumbar support along with a massage function. Ford is installing a 40/20/40 rear bench which means you can fold it whenever you have to carry bulky cargo.

Power of the 2016 Ford Taurus (CN-spec) comes from a newly developed 2.7-liter, four-cylinder EcoBoost engine which they say has a high output and is being described as a “world-class” motor.
