Abarth’s UK division has introduced a limited-run 595 Trofeo Edition that adds more equipment. Compared to the standard model, you pay an additional £540, but in return you’ll get £1,275 worth of extra goodies, along with a choice of three exterior body paints known as Officina Red, Scorpione Black and Record Grey. Regardless of your choice, the car comes with color-coded brake calipers and wheel center caps featuring the same hue. It rides on 17-inch “Formula” alloys and has received tinted windows, carbon Abarth decal set and “Trofeo” badging on the outside.

The pocket rocket is powered by a 1.4-liter, four-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine that develops 140 PS (103 kW) which will be enough for a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in just 7.9 seconds before topping out at 127 mph (204 km/h), not too shabby for such a small car.

Only 250 cars are destined to reach the UK market and Abarth is already taking orders, with pricing kicking off at £15,150. Deliveries should begin either by the end of the year or early 2016. It should be mentioned the most expensive model of the Abarth range is the Competizione Convertible 180 PS which begins at a rather steep £23,190 OTR.

Abarth has announced plans to bring the 595 50th Anniversary Edition at the Frankfurt Motor Show which will open its doors next week. This latest special edition is meant to celebrate the original 595 which came out back in 1963 at the Turin Motor Show. As you would imagine, Abarth has decided to opt for a retro-inspired exterior look featuring handmade graphics, a matte white paint and historic Abarth logos. We also notice the inclusion of 17-inch rims, a sunroof and xenon headlights. Inside the cabin there are two-tone sport seats, metallic accents, flat-bottomed steering wheel, red contrasting stitching and alloy pedals.
