Nissan has introduced the 2016 Rogue which comes with a number of enhancements. The model is bound to hit U.S. dealerships sometime this fall and will come with a more generous body color palette including a new Magnetic Black hue while the Rogue S Appearance Package is going to add body-colored side mirrors with built-in turn signals along with a chrome finish for the door handles. Moreover, there’s a revised Blind Spot Warning system whereas the Rogue SL gains a Motion-Activated Power Liftgate. Go for the Rogue SL and you also receive NissanConnect Services. Moreover, Siri Eyes Free compatibility has been added to the Rogue SL and the Rouge SV Premium Package.
The 2016 Rogue now comes with an optional Forward Emergency Braking system which can automatically monitor the proximity and speed of the car ahead of the 2016 Rogue and whenever it detects an imminent collision, it will automatically apply the brakes to try and avoid or at least diminish the severity of the crash.
It should be mentioned that Nissan has modified the blind spot warning system functionality from camera-based to radar-based while additional changes to the 2016 model year are going to be announced closer to the model’s market launch this fall.
Nissan has announced the 2015MY Rogue is available on order in United States at a starting price of $22,790, without taking into account the additional $860 destination and handling. Sold in Europe with the “X-Trail” moniker, the Rogue is now in its second generation and for the 2015 model year it has gained heated cloth seats in the SV Premium Package, along with an Arctic Blue Metallic hue and most importantly an Eco mode for the Xtronic gearbox. Regardless of the version you select, all 2015 Nissan Rouge models are powered by a 4-cylinder, 2.5-liter engine rated at 170 bhp (127 kW). Front-wheel drive is standard but at an additional cost an AWD system can be selected. The 2015 Nissan Rogue returns 33 mpg US on the highway, 26 mpg in the city and 28 mpg in the combined cycle in the front-wheel drive guise.
As standard, the model is equipped with a handsfree system, audio streaming Bluetooth, 5-inch screen, Zero Gravity front seats and a RearView Monitor. Paying more will get you leather upholstery, heated cloth Quick Comfort front seats and a 9-speaker Bose audio system.
