Toyota introduces TRD Pro family in Chicago
Toyota has just unveiled its TRD Pro family this week at the 2014 Chicago Auto Show. For those of you who don’t know, TRD stands for Toyota Racing Development and this recipe has been applied on the Tacoma, 4Runner and Tundra. The package comes with a wide array of off-road kits, such as a two-inch front lift and a dual exhaust setup for the Tundra TRD Pro. The model also comes with 18-inch black rims shod in Michelin ORP tires. Other than that, it packs an updated instrument cluster, along with bespoke seat upholstery featuring red contrast stitching.
Moving on to the Tacoma TRD Pro, this one has gained a TRD exhaust, a two-inch front lift, as well as 16-inch beadlock-style alloy wheels wrapped around in BF Goodrich All-Terrain rubbers. As for the 4Runner TRD Pro, this one comes with larger 17-inch black alloys, black bumper accents and a 1.5-inch front lift.
The trio comes along with Bilstein shocks, a front skid plate, unique floor mats, TRD shift knobs and an updated front grille. All three cars are programmed to go on sale this fall.
