Volkswagen Passat B8 tuned by B&B
The Volkswagen Passat B8 has received an aftermarket package developed by the tuners at B&B Automobiltechnik. They worked on the more practical Variant wagon version equipped with the powerful bi-turbodiesel four-cylinder 2.0-liter engine which in standard specification produces 240 HP (177 kW) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft). The power is sent to the 4MOTION all-wheel drive system through a newly developed DSG seven-speed gearbox. B&B stage 1 kit costs €1,298 will boost the output numbers to 275 HP (202 kW) and 570 Nm (420 lb-ft) through a 0.2 bar boost pressure increase and revised engine electronics.
Those willing to spend more can get the stage 2 kit developed by B&B for the Volkswagen Passat B8 2.0 BiTDI which is available for €3,950 and compared to the first kit it adds a custom stainless steel exhaust system, optimized air induction, charge air cooling and air induction. Thanks to these changes, the output is increased to 300 HP (220 kW) and 630 Nm (464 lb-ft), enough for a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run in 5.5 seconds, thus making it 0.8s quicker than the stock car.
The Volkswagen Passat B8 by B&B can also be equipped with custom 19- or 20-inch alloy wheels, a suspension lowering kit while in the near future some body upgrades will also be available.
